The “Gem City” of Sri Lanka, Gem pits (mining) gem workshops (gem cutting, polishing, jewellery making), Bopath Ella waterfall, enroute visit rubber estate & factory, a beautiful drive from Colombo though typical Sri Lankan villages.
Drive along the beautiful coastline down South to Galle (fortress built by the Dutch, shop for exquisite hand – made lace) enroute many beach hotels for a break at Kalutara, Beruwala, Bentota (popular for water sports) hikkaduwa (famous for corals & tropical fish) Ambalangoda (Masks & Batiks)
