Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock temples in Nubia, southern Egypt on the western bank of Lake Nasser about 230 km southwest of Aswan (about 300 km by road). The complex is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the 'Nubian Monuments, ' which run from Abu Simbel downriver to Philae (near Aswan).The twin temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramesses II , as a lasting monument to himself and his queen Nefertari, to commemorate his alleged victory at the Battle of Kadesh, and to intimidate his Nubian neighbors. However, the complex was relocated in its entirety in the 1960s, on an artificial hill made from a domed structure, high above the Aswan High Dam reservoir.The relocation of the temples was necessary to avoid their being submerged during the creation of Lake Nasser, the massive artificial water reservoir formed after the building of the Aswan High Dam on the Nile River. Abu Simbel remains one of Egypt's top tourist attractions.

Itinerary:

We will begin this tour at the early morning. I will pick you up from the agreed place at 03:15. We will drive to the convoy area where all buses driving to Abu Simbel temples will be gathered then We will drive to Abu Simbel temples across the desert for about 3 hours.We will arrive about 07:00. We will visit the two temples of Abu Simbel.We have to come back to the car before 09:00 because We will drive back again to Aswan.We will arrive at Aswan at 12:00.I hope you have a great tour.

Where and When:

Meet up location: I will meet you at the agreed place in Aswan. End location: I will drop you off at the place where I picked you up. Duration: 8 hours 30 min.

The convoy is rarely cancelled because of the bad weather.That is for tourists safety.
